For those of you who haven't read it: Full text of the Arizona Immigation Bill

I'm making your homework easy for you. It's 19 8.5" x 11" pages with some serious margins. If you have time to post about it on the internet for hours, you have time to spend the < 1 it takes to read it. The only other alternative is allowing others to read it for you and relying on them, which makes you little more than a lazy parrot and uninformed about the issue. You are informed about someone else's interpretation of the issue, nothing more.

So if you really care, suspend ADD for less than an hour and read the damn thing. Word for word, line for line. Pardon my frustration, but I'm sickened by how uniformed some people are about this bill. We're not talking 2000+ page healthcare reform here.

Only a racist would tell people to read the bill. Everyone knows legal text is just a cover for whatever my favorite pundits say it's covering. Clearly then anyone who tells me to read the text is just trying to distract me from what the law really means!

It's a proposed amendment, although it doesn't really change anything.

Edit: NVM. Mis-read the amendment. Looked over the versions/amendments and I can't find anything that changes it. Link is to the house-engrossed version, which TMK was the version sent to the governor to sign.

Not quite sure why their gov site does not have a link to the actual implemented bill text, I went through this in the original thread and once I saw what was actually passed I really have no objections. It doesn't seem much different than what we have been doing here in my county for 3 years now.
