I was only snappy for the first few days after quitting cold turkey. If I though I was about to snap at someone I just closed my mouth. I think I did snap a few times at my hubby though. :(

I also ate a lot of candy. I chewed gum, ate suckers, and ate hard candies. I think that helped me a little. :)

Run or bike at least 45 min every morning. it really takes the fight right out of you. Then, after work/school, go lift weights.

Plus, you need to do this to not gain weight.

I maily chewed gum. I don't think that you will get fat from chewing gum. It was just a suggestion though. :)

Crap excuse. The only time I dont run is when it's stormy, or there is more than a few inches of fresh snow on the ground. I'll run even when it's below zero out. Buy some fleece and/or Gore-tex outerwear, some poly undies, gloves and a ski hat and stop making excuses. If you don't run or bike, you'll grow a belly, I promise you. No amount of weight lifing will stop the fat from coming on after quitting smoking. Only a good 45 minutes minimum, 5 days a week of hard cardio will stop it, and keep it off.

Plus, you'll feel better, and the cravings will be FAR less.

Only if you eat more.

Actually, no. You can quit smoking, eat exactly the same, and have the same activity you had before, and still gain weight. Smoking increases your metabolism, and makes your body work harder just to breathe and pump blood. Taking away that strain and lowering your metabolism will result in needing fewer calories to maintain your present weight, and thus, if you eat the same as you did before, you'll gain.

Pussy. If it's too cold, then you aren't working hard enough to keep you warm. It was only 32 degrees up in Fargo on Tuesday...that's not that cold at all. Put on some sweatpants, a tee shirt, a sweatshirt over the top, a stocking cap, and some thin gloves and you'll be warmed up in about 10-15 minutes.

health Insurance should cover the doctors visit and part of the prescription.
