I am thinking of getting a german shepherd puppy this summer. I am wondering how hard it is to train the dog so that it will not poo and pee everywhere in the house.

Of course, i will be getting the neccessary training and courses on how to be a good dog owner.

So for those of you that have german shepherd, please come in a share your experience. Also, there is a very reputable breeder in my area that sells male puppies for $3000 and female puppies for $2000. Why is there a $1000 difference between the sexes?

The price difference is because one male can be studded out to breed many females.

Our german shepherd was a spaz, she acted like a puppy for her entire life.

Our Shepard was the most intelligent, obedient dog we ever had, she was housebroken
in 2 weeks. As with any breed "accidents" will happen so a carpet shampooer is not a
bad idea. Mine was very protective of home and owners, I've seen others with that trait
as well but remember, most dogs will betray you for a chuck roast....:)
