Thanks JMAGG. I should have thought of that, but it has been so long since I used IE that I just forget that MS often forces you to use it. It is now downloading.

Things to know:

Make sure you log in before using that url in the first post and then it will generate a key.

There are only 5 keys for 64 bit and 5 keys for 32 bit.

The beta 1 is good until August 2009, which hopefully the RTM will be out by then.

The download is also available today.

Last but not least you need to use Internet explorer to install the activeX and download the beta 1, it doesn't work in Firefox.

FYI, doesn't work in Chrome either.

Just got a key going though the Windows 7 site off Microsoft.com. The link is up right now, and it went though on the 1st try. Downloading the 64 bit version now using IE 7.

all the keys are the same, a list of them is posted in an other thread here as well as HERE

no need to make it difficult

My 32 bit key is on that list, however my 64 bit key is not so I'd say there is a little more than 5 keys.

Yup, agree. I guess Microsoft got bored of a couple thousand people refreshing every few seconds for a key.
