The the past month the skin on my hands (mostly my fingertips) has been bubbling up and falling off. The symptoms are brought about by showering (the skin bubbles up at this time). The skin that bubbles up is soft, not a hard callus. The skin on the last segment of my fingers looks shredded. I'm not sure what has caused this as I use the same soap and shampoo. Anyone know what causes this?

What makes you think it's caused by showering?

Sorry, should have been more clear. That is when the skin bubbles up. On my fingertips in it really bad, it looks shredded.

use lotion

QFT. I wear latex/nitrile/rubber/mylar gloves all day and have the same problem. Skin would flake off in shower. I now have a bottle of Vaseline Total Moisture I keep at work. It's ok for guys to lotion too 🙂.

My brother had similar problem when he was younger. You will need prescription lotion, sorry dude you will have to go to a doctor.
