Let us stop eating other animals, why don't we just eat dead humans? Many people die everyday you know!

Then explain why I am overweight and have been a vegetarian for almost ten years. It is a combination of diet and exercise.

Heres an idea...why not just exercise.

<< Go veggie www.goveg.com
Why are their so many fat American in America? obviously it has something to do with diary product and meat. If we cut down on meat eating and add alot more vegetable or even better yet no meat at all, we would be much healthier and no weight problem. No eggs, no ham, no pork, no beef, no chicken, no fish etc. It proven that these are high in cholesterol that causes disease like cancer, arteries clogging up, heart attack, high blood pressure, overweight problem and depression as well. I think some people live to eat and it must really good like meat, ice cream, cheese which contain animal product but I believe other who prefer to eat healthy, eat to live not live to eat.

Nope, its not because of meat, thats just Vegan propaganda bullsh!t. The reason why most americans are over wieght is the avg american consumes 120+(somewhere around that number I forget the exact #) pounds of refined sugar PER YEAR, and don't exercise enough. Fat is not causing people get fat, excessive suger/carbs are because people DON'T excersise it all off. Excessive fat is bad for the heart, but excessive carbs leads to excessive wieght which is just as bad on the heart.

Personally I don't eat beef unless its a nice 9oz filet that just melts in your mouth. I rarely eat ground beef, I prefer ground turkey. I like chicken, turkey and fish(tuna, shark, and some others, can't stand shrimp, lobster or any type of shellfish). And like beef, the only way I eat pork is if its a nice tender rack of ribs. As for dairy products, I drink tons of skim milk and custard style yogurt, which isn't that bad for you.

at least have a title that jives with the post!

and of course theres lots of fat americans in america, just like most fat french are in france!
that was perhaps the most asinine thing i've read since The Daily Texan proclaimed, quite rightly, that the US pollutes more than many combinations of european countries. of course we do! we're bigger than probably 90% of possible combinations!

you could have stated how getting calories from meat is inefficient because the meat has to eat ~10x as many calories first, or how cows cause huge sewage problems or chickens contaminate every river in arkansas and whatnot.

somehow, with the command of english shown by the original poster, i think this was an attack on americans.

There is absolutely no evidence that the consumption of hormone treated animals have ANY effect on us...must be a European....;)

Tominator,

Nope, I'm not a European. I'm 100% certified USA patriot. The thing I wrote about the hormones is (as I stated) just a theory, and it isn't even mine. I just thought it was interesting, because it makes some sense. That doesn't mean its necessarily true.

I love meat. I've sworn off beef because my wife nearly died from e-coli which she got from a hamburger. But in its absence I've learned to cook pork in ways that you couldn't distinguish it from beef. Chicken, fish, lamb, you name it, I'll cook it.

BTW, I live in a rural area where lots of people hunt. You wouldn't believe some of the things people around here kill and eat. Possum, snake, raccoon, etc.

It is natural to eat meat. Check your teeth. We are omnivores. Besides, animals taste great. I had pig for breakfast, and plan on a big slice of cow for supper.

Are you kidding me? Eat nothing but tofu, beans, and cabbage, and you WILL pollute the environment by raising the local levels of methane in atmosphere. Vegetarians fart too much!

Just returned from a GOOD steak lunch that they had here on base. Yum.

It has nothing to do with meat and everything to do with sedentary lifestyles. Don't let facts confuse your little brain, though.

What makes you think meat is not healthy? As a matter of fact, vegetarians routinely have more health problems due to the lack of certain vitamins and minerals, unless they take supplements. Eating lean meat, poultry, fish and pork can be quite beneficial to a healthy lifestyle.
