For the BILLIARD players

Anyone else get a sore shoulder after playing pool for a while?

Maybe I'm leaning over too far on it? What is a proper stroking stance?

Thx 😀

I used to play pool like 5 days a week and never noticed any shoulder pains.
Are you trying to hit like Heman or something?
There is not a set way to hold a pool cue, it varies person to person, someways are definately better than others and offer a better chance at consistency.
I have no idea why it would hurt an less you are just using an area of a muscle that has not really been used that much before.

my shoulder would get sore on tournament nights, well actually the next day. i haven't played in a long time now though..so i am sure it would be sore if i played a lot on one day. as for the stance...you might want to check this guy and his videos out...he is REALLY good at teaching and the like. Sorry to not be clear....

I'm not really sore until I've played for a COUPLE HOURS or more 🙂

I normally try to get my chin low to the cue for a better line of sight but I feel this puts more stress on my shoulder joint. Maybe I just need to stretch more lol too tight.

generally your chin should almost touch the cue when shooting unless you are breaking. but it is different for different people. depends on height too. you might want to try a lighter cue. some cues are very heavy and that might help you out...try a 17 or 18 oz cue.

Maybe you should just stretch beforehand...Everytime you take a shot, it's like a little jolt so I can see how you'd get sore...

maybe you are shooting wrong...

I usually play for a long long time.. but dont have sore shoulders....

anyone know where tournaments are being held? (big big tournaments i mean)
