I bought Thermalright for a CPU cooler for several reasons. While Zalman lets you control speeds of the fan, isnt the best control where you can buy your OWN fan and then hook it up to a fan controller? Then you can buy Panaflo, Yate loon, Nexus, anything.... The choice is yours.

I remember the 7000 and 7700 series. Huge fans, but 120mm would be better.

As for graphics cards, I bought the VF700. Definitely a good buy, although teh Vf900 would work even better for me now... oh well. I have a side fan blowing onto my 7800GT so all is good.

my dad has a Zalman HSF for his CPU. really quiet plus high performance. what more can you ask for? i'm planning on upgrading my pitiful Arctic Cooling to one of their HSF. i just need to find one that still supports Socket A.
