For SLI, is it important that each video card model is excatly the same?

I am thinking about adding another GeForce 7800GT video card to my system to have two of them for SLI. I currently have one eVGA GeForce 7800GT video card in my system. When I buy another one, does it have to be the exact same model as the one I currently have? Or does it just have to be another GeForce 7800GT eVGA video card?

Here is what I am asking for instance. The exact model of the eVGA GeForce 7800GT video card I have is 256-P2-N515. There is a eVGA card at NewEgg that is close in model, but not exactly the same. It is 256-P2-N516.

Will this video card at NewEgg work perfectly in SLI with my current eVGA video card with the only difference being my current crad is N515?

They should work even if they are different manufacturers. The only thing that won't work is different models. For example, a 7800GT with a 7800GTX.

you can mix n match any vendor of the same card

you just can do 6800 with a 7800 or anything like that, must be the same type of card, but doesnt matter who made it
