I don't quite follow the "rancid" comment.

How is it rancid? Are you drinking it right after getting it mixed? Are you mixing it and letting it sit for a few hours before drinking?

Oh, and whoever said that water + protein powder is nasty either A) has a weak tongue and stomach, or B) has the wrong protein powder.

a few hours after mixing the protein powder i had before with water, it would become rancid. if i made a big smoothie with it that i couldn't finish in one sitting, i'd have to basically throw it away, as it would taste awful later (even if put in the fridge). it was also a pain because i'd have to wash the blender/cup/nalgene immediately after use... otherwise, the dishes would get the rancid smell and the protein powder would cake to everything, making it VERY hard to wash off.

i'm obviously had the "wrong" powder before - nasty tasting, pain in the ass to wash and no noticeable results. i hope none of this is true with this nectar stuff...

Well no, I wouldn't necessarily say that YOU had the wrong powder. The reason I asked is when I first started working out I used to "pre-mix" my shakes....by the time I drank them they were flippin nasty.

So what I did was purchase some of those "shakers", I would bring the powder to work with me and fill it up with water when it was time to drink. It works great and super-easy to clean. 🙂

Sounds like you had some EAS protein (or other type of poor quality). Don't worry, most proteins are not like this.
