For scripting/development SuSE or Redhat?

Hey, I have used a couple of the Redhat distributions, and one SuSE. Unfortunately, the SuSE was old, and I could not get it out of German mode. Has anyone used a later version? If so, is it better for scripting/programming than the Redhat system? I have been told it is more suited to programming.

I'd say Slackware or Debian would be more suited than those two. If you're definately focused on those though I'd say Redhat is the better choice.

For Programming I would say it doesnt matter what distro you use as long as it has the tools to support the developement of whatever language you want..

RedHat would be a fine choice, and so would Mandrake... because they support lots of languages, and have some good amount of developer tools included.

But ANY linux would be just fine...
