It would be really nice if the For Sale/Trade participants listed their city/state somewhere in the item posting, so I could easily identify local traders and save a shipping charge.

Could you consider adding this suggestion to the forum rules?

Too much of a hassle having more for the mods to police. Check the user's profile. If you have any questions PM the member.

AGREED!

IF you are INTERESTED, then your work begins (check heatware, contact the seller, etc.). ;)

And if you're from Canada, it's too expensive anyway. :D

Just click on their profile. Most traders have nothing to hide and list it there.

Yamyam - I happen to agree that it would be convenient, especially when first starting out, to be able to deal with traders "closer to home", but as the others have pointed out, it'd be difficult to police and keep up to date. Checking a person's profile is your best bet, and if that person's Heatware is decent, then perhaps just make a list of the folks that happen to be in your area and look for posts by them. :)

I don't think I said it clearly. It certainly shouldn't be required, but it would be a nice courtesy. No mod police... this is more about "gee, wouldn't it be nice to improve the information flow" than "hey, let's lock some threads."

(and besides, sometimes I'm just too damn lazy to open the profile :) )

Anyway..... thanks for the comments, I really dig the forums, etc
