I work in retail and just checked out this thread.... is it too late to register? Says "Coming in October" but the codes are good until December 1st, correct? So theoretically I should be able to get in on this?

I dont have time to read every thread, so just incase no one has said so already, I got mine today and it does come with the product key for XP but it is only a sticker, no certificate of authenticity, no box, just the cd with a sticker on the sleeve. I for one am pissed.:disgust:

That is exactly how it was last year. Wix XP Pro cd in a white envelope with cd key. No book, coa, or box to go with it. Why so mad?

I guess it just makes ya mad that the software companys do all this griping about pirating and how theyd like everyone that does it thrown in jail, then they just send intel a bunch of cds without even the almighty coa. How is it different than if I just downloaded XP and used a key generator? And dont even say that its just an OEM copy, because even oem copies have certificates of authenticity.

I ordered on the 24th. Tuesday my status was off back order and pending shipping. Then today I get this:

"The items listed below are backordered. Backordered items normally ship from one to two weeks following your original order date, except under unusual circumstances. We are making every effort to fill the remainder of your order as quickly as possible. If you have any questions about backordered items, please contact us."

Who has had their product shipped that ordered on the 24th or later? I e-mailed them pushing for a little better explanation. But no response yet.

Any info anybody has on this, as to when more stock will be available, would be much appreciated!!

I think only one person that ordered after the 24th has stated they had their order shipped. It was dm33186 and he ordered 10/29. I wish Intel would get their wheels turning on this, its driving me insane.
