Well, I registered for the site and put in some bogus stuff for my supervisor. Answered the AMD questions, ordered the kit, and all looks good so far. My order is pending waiting for credit card verification right now. If/when it gets approved, I'll post back and let everyone know what happened.

athakur999, from what I've heard, www.retailacess.com verifies your employment info every six months; in addition, to qualify for the rebate, you need to provide proof of employment. Just my ¢ 🙂

I also just registered. Made up a name and phone number (888 number). However, it's late, so I'll do the quizzes tomorrow. Hope it works!

Oh yeah, I forgot, I won't have the money to pay the almost $300 for another two weeks. Maybe it'll be too late to order it by then.

Watch, they'll probably call the number I put down and tell me it's fake and that I'm ineligible. Then they'll tell Sears that I'm a liar and they'll fire me and I'll lose my brand new job.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to ask about the employment verification, no one mentioned anything about that. Do I actually have to mail them a pay stub?

I'm really not worried about the rebate. On Pricewatch, an A64 3200+ by itself goes for $270. As far as I'm concerned, I'm buying the CPU and getting a free mobo and copy of Far Cry with it.

Anybody else that have received this combo having trouble with the Promise controller. I can't get a single ATA or SATA drive to work in Windows with this controller. It shows all 3 drives when I am booting up, but once in windows, there is nothing. I have the drivers installed correctly and computer management doesn't help at all since it doesn't show up in there either. Hope somebody can help or I will just have to create a new topics in Motherboards. Thanks in advance.
