for reference: It is snowing in SW Michigan

This sucks. Was hoping we would make it until after Thanksgiving before the snow flew.

That means I might actually have to start wearing a coat.

The claim was that it was supposed to start snowing today in the northern parts of Toronto and even more north of that, but I haven't seen it yet.

Luckily I live beside the lake at the south part of Toronto. It's amazing how much less snow we get on average, just 20 km away.

Yea lake effect is a bitch. I am on the east side of Lake Michigan, so we get the brunt of lake effect. The folks right on the shore get it really bad though. They will get 2 feet in one night, we'll get a foot and a city 20 miles to the east of us will get a dusting. Detroit gets no snow compared to us west siders.

I wish we had snow here in the middle of the state 🙁

Edit: Spoke too soon, here it comes.

I figured this would be a dusting but its still coming down out there. That means traffic is going to suck on the way home!

For you sunny people: people always forget how to drive in the snow. The first snow of the year is always a mix of people going way too slow because they are scared and people crashing into stuff because they are idiots.

I'm in Indiana only a few miles from the southern tip of Lake Michigan, and we have had our share of 12-24" early snows. Been here 50 + years, so I'm used to it. Like Rudeguy, we are supposed to get lake effect today with 6" tonight..... Oh well...

whereabouts? I was born in Lagrange.

I like snow myself. But it always turns into dirty snow from cars and gets ugly fast. I'll take 2-3 6-12" snow storms then spring again, thank you very much.

We were supposed to get a wintery mix here today in SE Michigan, but it's only just rained so far. According to the weather, the temperature won't dip below freezing until 7-8pm tonight.

Michigan, if you dare let any of that shit cross the border with Ohio, you'll have some 'splainin' to do. We can't be friends if you fail us here.
