My commute home is from Potomac, MD to Baltimore, MD.

Guess I should wait until 8PM to leave work...

I think he just leaves "early" (i.e. gets in at 7, leaves at 3). I think I've asked him the same question myself. Not sure about his actual route.

drove tysons to ballston via the toll road and 66 and the roads weren't bad at all. traffic sucked though, beltway traffic was clogging up the 267 lanes and 66 was slow. might really suck later, luckily i left work at 2.

I get in at 6 and leave at 3. The ride in usually takes 35-40 min, ride home usually 45-60 min.

Haven't killed myself yet. Yet...

I take 495 and 95. Every time I've tried to take 29, it's kicked my ass. I don't try to get cute with it.

Exhibit A.

Hey, look at that! My route home (north side DC beltway to 95 north to just north of Balt Beltway) is completely fucked!

I'm not leaving until 8. I'd rather wallow away at work than sit in traffic with a bunch of hosers.

Yea its a mess and people are driving like idiots. Some way to slow jamming others up and some way to fast.
Had 1 guy come to a almost dead stop on a exit in front of me.
My ABS and Traction system was getting a full work up in the Vette.

Extremely good chance of snow tomorrow.
Wonder how many kids will not bother showing up to class.

At this point, I'm not too concerned. Apparently it wont start till after the morning commute. I'm hoping that a bunch of people will try to leave early so the roads are empty by time I leave, like last time. The accumulation amounts also sound low enough that between road treatment and taking it slow, the drive home *shouldn't* be that bad.

We shall see.

Yep reports for Springfield went from 1-4 inchs to up to 10 now.

Of course I am sure I will have to work tomorrow knowing OPM. :)

You're kidding, right? Telework! I have my laptop with me, I teleworked today and already put on my timesheet that I'm doing it tomorrow.

I wish. My new office does not give out FOBs.

And knowing how OPM loves people to use up all their leave so I am betting on a 2 hour delay tomorrow.

That sucks man. I work for a boss who really gets the whole "location independent" thing. Our productivity was so good during the big storm last year that we now have the supervisory option to let folks telework 2 days a week regularly.

If it makes you feel any better, my wife's company has never given a snow day. Ever. They were open every minute during the storm last year, and she had to be in the office because she has direct reports.

yup.

just heard snow thunder for the first time ever! woohoo!

as long as the metro is running tomorrow i will be at work.

I was outside for that a little while ago - saw some lightning and a thunder clap. Cars on my street are backing up really bad. I took a video, I need to upload it to youtube. It's kind of short because I decided to get my shovel and go help people get up the hill.
