OK, now its REALLY snowing. And this time I'm sure its not gonna disappear.

Good news: We have a white Christmas.
Bad News: Most of these people did not grow up with snow, and they will act like dickheads on the roads. Accident city!

I just walked from the elementary school to the middle school and back for just that reason. Evidently the stop signs have become optional due to the snow.

hope it doesnt snow enough to stop metro from servicing above stations!

I doubt it, its only a inch or so they said.

But I still have to drive a couple miles in the snow from the Metro and am in my Corvette. So more worried about that than the Metro. :hmm:

Ample time to get stuck in the pre snow traffic jam traffic jam. ;)

I live a couple miles from work... so not a huge deal. Just don't want to get stuck behind a dumbass on a hill.

But you may be right... may be a bunch of people cutting out early today

Not worried about getting stuck as much as I am ending up sideways and upside down in a ditch or some idiot hitting my car. Already had the rear bumper re-painted due to some idiot hitting me once this year.

Driving the CTS with the DWS tires tomorrow.

I used to work at NRL and left early during one of these little storms. It was by pure luck that I missed one of the more miserable snow episodes in memory, the 24 hour Wilson Bridge jam up.

It's snowing in Northern Virginia, and I no longer care.

Goodbye Falls Church, hello Ft. Lauderdale (69 degrees currently).

i work at crystal city so i don't have to go above ground to get to the metro station here, and when i get off at home i literally get off the metro, go in a tunnel under the street, walk about 100 feet, and am at my apartment building.

so i htink ill be okay :)

For a lot of you guys by the time work is out you will be able to drive home, especially if you are coming from a Metro stop like Vienna.
I see already the state is on top of things unlike last year. Buses are taking kids home. Major roads are being plowed.
This is not gonna be the same disaster. I heard the governor took a lot of shit last time for not being ready.

Maybe in VA. It seems like a lot of the Maryland and DC schools are still open. And as I said in my thread, I would be surprised if traffic is as "good" as it normally.

Things are looking VERY interesting for Sunday in the DC area.

It's the weather, so things could (and probably will) change, but the weather models are all starting to point to a significant snow in the area on Sunday. At this point it doesn't look like we're in the bullseye, but any more shifting to the west and helloooooooo Dec 19-20, 2009! Happy anniversary!
