Looking for suggestions for places to do a clinical pharmacy residency. It could be one that you have done or are doing. One that a friend you know has done and likes, or is doing and likes. One that you really wanted to do but couldn't get it or just about anything.

Also, if there was a website that listed some residencies and a description of what they do or are looking for in residents, please feel free to direct me to it.

Now I know I'm setting myself up for some interesting replies, but please, be considerate.

thanks.

My wife did a clinical pharmacy residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center. It was an invaluable source of education for her.

For info on residency programs including number of positions available, pay, and other requirments go her:

Also look at this one:

Most of the top ranked residency positions are match based. You have to interview with the programs. The program then ranks it's candidates and the likewise the candidates rank their programs and both are submitted. The match making happens in mid/late March I think.

There is usually a midyear conference in December where you can get a good feel for the different programs and start planning your interviews. If you have any other questions feel to PM me. My wife would be happy to help you out as she is very active in the pharmacy residency community.
