Also, if you don't want to look, the picture they're showing is a completely reference card from the cooler to the power plug orientation.

The card being completely reference means that it is an exact copy of Nvidia's card design, which isn't necessarily bad. Some people like to see shiny, flashy heatsinks or designs that allow for single slot coolers, quieter operation or better overclocking.
