Cheaper than the "pre-order" download direct from SOE. The discounted pre-order was $22.99 and now that it's live the download cost $27.99.
I just got it last night and went thru my first "adventure". The dungeons are dynamic, as in when you take the "job" your group or raid party is the only one in there. Your mission is timed as well, and the difficulty varies (you can choose easy, normal, difficult. and character level has some effect on difficulty as well). The fact that it is dynamic is sweet as you don't have to worry about camping a mob or having it stolen from you. The adventure I did last night was of "normal" difficulty, but was raised a little bit as the cleric in our group was level 61. It went fairly easy (2 Paladins, mainly undead mobs = teh slaughter) and we finished with almost 30 minutes to spare.
Anothing neat thing about the retail version is you get a free satchel. 8 item container, holds "large" items, and has 25% weight reduction. There is a small quest you can do that changes the satchel to a 10 giant slot 50% weight reduction bag.
Anyway, if you play EQ, and don't have it yet, this will be your best opportunity to get it. For those that play, you will prolly have noticed how hard it has become to find a 50+ group since LDON came out.
