for each new song played master volume turns nearly all the way down

OutHouse

Lifer
this started 2 days ago. when i play songs with Winamp, when a song is over and the next one starts the WAV volume turns almost all the way down. I have to keep the master volume window open and readjust it.

anybody else experience this or have a solution?

im running a NT workstation with sp6.

Did you install anything 2 days ago that might be trying to grab control of your audio settings, like realplayer.

Look in your file associations and see if anything other than winamp is the default application for playing mp3 files.

is ur winamp volume set to low? cuz this usually happens when my winamp volume is set low, and i changed the master volume from sound controls, after a new song plays, the master volume changes to whatever the winamp volume is set at....i dunno...thats the way it worked on my comp

ok its fixed now here is what i did. kinda strange solution

xospec1alk: I was thinking the samething with the winamp volume. I played around with it and still had the same problem.

I reinstalled winamp, still had the problem. i then installed a different skin and bingo problem solved.

dont ask me how that fixed it but it did.
