I have a feeling this will be long, but I have no life, no dreams, no hopes, but I do have a class at 7a.m. tomorrow, so nothing lost!
And even though this is a column writer who will never read what I said, I will direct to him in the 2nd person.
The WWF ratings will peak out in the next 3-9 weeks and then we will see the same decline that we saw before Vince used the angle of all angles to stop his recent ratings slide.
They usually do peak out right after Summerslam. IIRC, the week before Summerslam last year, they did a rating that has been matched at MOST 3 times since then. We're talking a span of a year, and the ratings have hardly ever matched what that show did. Of course there's a whole network move thing and all, but whatever..
And the author does a great job of going out on a limb there, 3-9 weeks? Hey I predict it'll go down in the next 1-100 weeks.
I felt with all the "Invasion" buildup that WCW would actually invade the WWF. HAHA..I guess not. That surely has not happened as of yet.
Are you just impatient? Can you not wait three weeks until the PPV?
On that logic, since the Rock has yet to come back, I don't think he ever will
Then I hear the words, it'll come. What will come? It's suppose to be a damn invasion, not the same 5 superstars every week? What kind of damn invasion is that?
See above, IT WILL COME. What in the world does he think that means? WILL means that eventually, meaning sometime in the future, the event will take place.
What we need are the following names, none of which we will see:
Ric Flair
Ric Flair is 50+ and is as much use as Terri at this point in terms of wrestling.
Scott Steiner
Who's to say he's not coming? The author did explain he doesn't have "inside" info. And if this guy is coming, you can be sure there'll be HUGE build up.
Scott Hall
Why in the world would the WWF need an alcholic/drug addict at this point?
Jeff Jarrett
Wow the author really goes out of his way to pick the worst candidates out there. Considering Jarrett basically stole $250k from Vince, I don't think so..
I will say he's not THAT bad of a choice..
Kevin Nash
Same with Flair, except for the age thing. And the WWF doesn't need TWO undertakers
Hulk Hogan
Same with Flair to the 1000th power.
Bret Hart
Also the same as Flair, unless the author wants to see Bret suffer permanent brain damage he is being quite stupid.
Randy Savage
Sting
Bill Goldberg
Savage and Sting are in the same situation as Nash, Flair, Hogan, they can't wrestle, and would serve no purpose.
Goldberg on the other hand would provide some good feuds, but will be limited by his wrestling skills, or lack thereof.
....This is no longer fun, since I realize no one will reply
