I had to when I had to revise a CCDC contract over the summer.

Incredibly unreliable.

Yes, but you'll have to isolate the pictures if there are any and use an OCR program to convert the text, then format it manually probably.

Not likely. You'll need an OCR program, and I have yet to see one that works well. Timewise, you'd probably be better off typing it in manually.

Yea, I've tried it. Quality depends on the font and how clean the scan is and all that. What your talking about is OCR (optical character recognition). Not sure what the best software is, but whatever scanner software you have look for OCR stuff. Hopefully this gets you at least pointed in the right general direction. Good luck.
