I play an online half-life mod called Day of Defeat. Recently a friend online showed me a server monitor program called HLSW. This program is one that when installed, connects to the internet and allows you to punch in the IP address of your favorite servers and connect through that program. It also allows you to set a password in it for passworded servers and it allows you to monitor the server to see whose on it playing at any given time. I use it religiously now when looking into my favorite servers to see if friends are online playing before I log in and play.
