Even if you can get it to work, it cuts the signal in half. So any wireless device using it, connect at half speed, ie, 27Mbps if you have an all G Wireless LAN.
After setting it up (you cannot hardwire to configure it, no port....) by pressing the button on the side (I know, bad sign, right?) it connected, but frequently disconnected for no apparent reason. Plus, the rest of my Wi-Fi was slowed down because the signal was being sucked up by this unit (then divided in half....)
Picked up a WAP54G, configured it as a Repeater, and voila, upstairs surfing heaven. Boxed up the Range Expander and RMA'ed it back to New Egg (will lose about 15-20 bucks on the deal after restocking fee and postage).
So, to recap, they really ARE too good to be true.
