I had this thought today. All you people complaining about the speed of the free forums & wanting to know just how much faster the subscriber forums are. Up until now you have had to take our word for it.

So, I made this. It's a video of me loading the locked thread at the top of this forum, with my settings set at 100 posts per page. Keep in mind I'm on my work connection right now, on my cable at home it's even faster.

To me, it takes about 10 seconds.

I'm on a 2.5 Mbps ADSL line.
 
Heck yeah I'm a subscriber! I spend more on a bottle of single malt Scotch than I did a year of AT 😉 If it's the principle.........
