herbie is the fvcking bomb! i probably watched herbie goes to monte carlo 4000 times when i was a kid.

i love how they sped up the film to make it look fast. i thought it was real when i was a kid. my laws of physics:

1) no car can go more than 100 MPH
2) only herbie can go 100 MPH
3) you must be traveling 100 MPH to skid out
therefore:
4) only herbie can skid out

also, i had a little sit-on toy car that was a white beetle, that my mom painted the herbie numbers on. i called it "car cackle."

god, those were the days.
