...want to see what your tired "stars" should listen to if they want to breath life into the stagnancy of the current radoedits.

I'm a hip hop fan and I think what today's rap stars need to listen to in order to re-energize the genre is a reading of "The Idiot's Guide to Suicide."

When Cannibal Ox, Atmosphere, and Aesop Rock rule MTV I will be ecstatic. But I'm not holding my breath.

No kidding. As soon as the learn to write a RHYME instead of the crap they are putting out...i'll stick with my "underground" (read: real) rap.

EDIT: oh..and I'll check out Prefuse 73 when i get home from work.

I like a lot of KRS-1 stuff. On most of his albums I like maybe 5 songs a whole lot, but don't really like the rest of them, or he has more 'filler' songs. But still with that said, I think he has more talent than the whole MTV and BET (and CMT ;) ) kiddies.

I know its my silly prejudice, but when you guys are talking about underground hiphop all I can think about is the geek white guy from office space listening to scarface, and the indian guy breakdancing.

News flash, trends don't mean sh*t. Quit bitching and enjoy the music you enjoy listening to.
