Farscape the Video Game!

Hi. My name is Karl and I'm a Farscape-oholic. As the new season is gearing up ( April 5th!!!) , I was going through the Sci-Fi channels Farscape site and noticed that there's a game in production and has been in production for a while now. There are a few screenshots and a couple of concept art pics.

It'll probably end up being not-so-good, but I'll get it anyway just because. That's what fanboy's do. Episode I sucked and I still got it on video because I'm a fanboy. You're obligated to to where the title "Fanboy." 😀

Either way, I figured I'd put this out there for those who might be interested.

What the hell happened to Farscape. I started watching new shows last summer or fall it seemed like there were only a 5-6 episodes. Last I saw the Creighton clone died saving Aryen and Rigel and Aryen had her depressed episode. If it was a whole season it was not very long and then It disappeared from the Sci-Fi schedule. Are there going to a lot of new episodes? I really liked the show, but the scheduling is screwy!

I'm not entirely why the schedule got so screwy, but the good news is that there is for sure going to be a 4th and 5th season. 😀 This is the start of the 4th season on April 5th. This friday is replay of the season 3 finale where the 2 groups are re-united and the Creighton on Talon has died.
 
This show is cable, right? Because of that, I had never heard of it, but BB had some of the first season on DVD. Rented it, and loved it. It's better then a lot of theatrical releases that try to pass themselves off as science fiction.

There's a new release that just come out at BB exclusively that is a best of season one as choosen by Rocke S. O'Bannon. I need to rent that yet...😀
 
oh man, i love that show! i think its the best television show since the xfiles (xfiles got crappy). I was wondering why they stopped playing farscape for a while, but they are back, so i'll be watching it. They should have some new characters, cause i love it when they have new people joining their crew, it makes it interesting.
 
Gamespot.com has had some coverage of the game, including an interview with the actor playing Creighton.

As to why the seasons are so odd, SciFi channel "seasons" are only 13 episodes (I think) vs. 20-23 for a network show.
 
Whoa, Farscape is on DVD?:Q Some of the guys at work turned me on to the show last year, and I was hooked. I must go to BB this weekend.

I've rented the 4 other ones that are just smatters of different episodes, but i haven't rented the new one. I avoid BB like the plaque, but i might have to make an exception.

The Farscape season's have gone 22 / 22/ 18, 1st/2nd/3rd season's respectively. Either way though it's still makes little sense.

I saw that a while ago. Looks cool! 😀 BTW as much as I can't wait for the April 5 my spring break ends on the 8th so there is no rush for me. 😉
 
I saw the commercial for it on the sf channel last night. Woohoo! I love farscape. It is a breath of fresh air for scifi. I can't wait to watch it. I'm glad it's on the sf channel because if it was on one of the major networks, it would have been cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons.
 
In the 2 years I've been reading the AnandTech forums I never posted a message because I've never had anything worthwhile to say. But, now there's a topic on Farscape!? I must speak.

To start off the 4 episodes that will be airing in April on Sci-Fi are not the first episodes of season 4. They are in fact the last 4 episodes of season 3. Making each season of Farscape have 22 episodes. For some unknown reason Sci-Fi decided to air the episodes now and not earlier in the year, like they should have. Meanwhile, the final 4 episodes of season 3 have been shown in other countries, such as, England on BBC and some channel in Israel. Season 4, however, will start in June on Sci-Fi.

They now have all of season 1 on DVD from advfilms. It's also extremly easy to find all the episodes from all 3 seasons on whatever file sharing program you prefer (yes, I have them all).

BTW, the last 4 episodes of season 3 that will be shown in April are by far the best Farscape episodes in a long time. I've seen all 3 seasons 3 times now and I know my Farscape. 😀 Episode 22's ending is simply amazing and your jaws will be left hanging! :Q

Yeah, Sci-Fi always runs Farscape screwy. I think it's so they can get better ratings by working around the networks seasons. They have new eps all summer, then take a haitus in around August until January, then have a few more eps, then are off until around April. It's weird, but I don't mind cause the show rocks.

I got season 1 WAY back in the day (two years now) from the UK. All of Season 2 is out there as well, but I haven't had the money to pick them up.

The last four eps of season 3 really do kick some major a$$. Though one of the best parts of Sci-Fi's screwy seasons is that you don't have to wait months for the next season to start. That's a good thing.

I just got turned onto farscape recently. I saw the first episode and downloaded all the episodes... 19gigs 😱 There have been 22 episodes in all 3 seasons. The episodes they are going to air are the last 4 of Season 3. They've been played in other parts of the world already and you can go download them. Season 1 and 2 are on DVD in the UK, with 3 coming out slowly. Only Season 1 is out on DVD here in the US. If I wasn't a poor student I'd have them imported and hack my DVD player or something. I have to say it's my favorite show now. I still have to watch the end of season 2 and the entire season 3.

I downloaded the last 4 episodes on direct connect and I'm sure you can find them on any file sharing program. The names of the episodes are:

Jule, the redheaded chick, joined the crew in Farscape - 3x03 -Self Inflicted Wounds, Part 1 - Could'a, Would'a, Should'a
Basicly, in the last episode of season 2, John and the gang went to an ice planet to see a doctor and get the Scorpius implant out of his head. The doctor had a ton of frozen, but not dead, but on the verge of death from some illness people, that he had as "donators" for surgery. Lots of stuff happened and when they left the planet, they took all of the frozen people of Jule's species, because John thought they may be related to humans and might know where Earth is. Accidently, the individuals were unfrozen and all died when they got out of their capsules. All except for Jule and on Moya she stayed. She's basically really intelligent and has like 15 degrees from her planet and she really grows on you over the season.
 
thx. so why didnt jule die? or did someone make a mistake, and she wasn't on the verge of death when they froze her?
 
As far as I know, they never found out why and they didn't seem to care that much at the time. Due to the fact that Moya was all merged with another ship and had crazy aliens going invisible and sabotaging her.
