For all those of you that don't think bullets can curve.

The rounds are tiny rockets with onboard propulsion.

No doubt you can curve one of these if you nik the tail of the bullet with the exit of the barrel as it was coming out.
Done perfectly the beginning of the bullet rotation would push it in one direction, and as it stops rotating, it could be pointed in another, and because it has it's own propulsion, this makes it a CURVE..

The bullets in Wanted also kinda look like Special bullets "maybe they were", but still, YES bullets can curve.

Um... it doesn't matter. It was a movie based on a comic book. If people have trouble enjoying it because it's unreal, then they shouldn't watch movies based on comic books. They're not supposed to be real.

The Transporter (and Transporter II) is worse. That is supposed to be happening in the "real" world. Flipping a car upside down just right to get the bomb off the bottom of a car is more unrealistic to me than bending a bullet.

The two situations should not be compared. One is HIGHLY unlikely while the other using a regular bullet is IMPOSSIBLE without exogenous forces.

Still,, I'm just bring the fact to everyone who just bash the fact that the movie was too far fetched without having given physics any thought.

IMO, a movie has to stand on it's own. An implausible movie doesn't suddenly become plausible just because it has a name from a comic attached to it.

Dude,, that movie was great, at least it doesn't pretend like all the other movies to have a deeper plot than can actually have been conceived. Examples,, lady in the water,, omfg i hated every moment of that.

Yes,, but then that is the Exogenous force I'm talking about. It no longer has to do with the original system of gun and bullet,, UNLESS of course the Gun has a high powered some how focused magnetic tractor beam sorta thingy. Just as irrelevant as curving a normal bullet. Niether is impossible but,, if we could make tractor beams, than we don't really need bullets for the most part.

You guys are arguing about the validity of a bullets ability to curve in a movie where people can leap from one building another, over bridge on top of a moving train, & drive a car with insane pinpoint accuracy just because their body can produce excess adrenaline causing upwards of 400hb/min. :roll:

Like a rocket? I think not. The actual slug is propelled out of the brass....it's guided by the barrel of the gun. When it shoots out of the barrel, the gunpowder has already gone off.....

Of course you can change the aerodymics of a round and make it do different things, but you'll find that wind and the angle of the gun would make this impossible to have any decent accuracy unless it was computer aimed in a controlled environment.

No...heh...I jumped the gun.

It sounds cool, but yeah....20 meters would be a pretty weak blast. It makes sense that they couldn't carry enough fuel to propel any further than that based on their size....not to mention, they lose the advantage of high muzzle velocity since the round isn't propelled by a solid blast. It'd be neat to see a hybrid that used a blast to get the muzzle velocity and then fired the rocket portion.

Yea but it still goes mach 1 at the end of it. AND it has higher accuracy "Theoretically" and its speed at the end is faster while conventional bullets slow down
