For all the persons that believe nothing should be done.

Something to numb my day, like I haven't been already.

A friend of mine works in the WTC. She was in the financial building when it started. They were leaving to go into the tower to get their belongings when the second plane hit.

Quotes:

"Pieces of people were falling at my feet"
"I had to step over body parts"

This is an ordinary girl, that is great at web development. She did nothing wrong. Why did she have to go through this.
Why did those people have to die.

We as the great country that we are, need to squash this and quickly. The terrorists will need to see if you perform such heinous acts against our country and people, you will need to pay the ultimate price.

Complacency is not an option. If we are too complacent, we choose to start living in a police state. Our freedoms and way of life are at stake. After the sadness and mourning for those persons that perished, and lost loved ones in the planes, Pentagon and WTC we need to go forward. Not to live our lives in fear. Squash those animals.

I'm sorry, did I miss something here? People want nothing to be done?! I haven't heard this one.

I don't care for violence much but at this point complacency is weak. Any reaction should be kept in check and reasonable but standing aside and trying to discuss and negotiate with anybody capable of this is pointless. The only thing this group will understand is a hollow point.

My sister had a similar situation, she worked in a building next door that is now gone.

I can't even begin to understand what she went through.

People around me are talking about "what if it was domestic"

If that's the case, every hate group, militia that exists in our country will need to be utterly destroyed.

You may think it's an infringment on their rights, and free speech. BS.

The good of the entire country, the ordinary people living their lives is important. We cannot sacrifice the freedoms of the people for the few dirtbag hate mongerers. My original post says it.

My choice of action is along the lines of the days of prohibition, where task forces were sent out to hunt down and ultimately remove any and all potential terrorist factions world-wide, irregardless of their alliance, their target, their racial makeup or anything else that might otherwise turn the bleeding hearts against such action. Senseless violence against ultimately innocent populations is a crime that should not be tolerated in any part of the world, whether it be in Ireland or Iraq, North America or North Korea. A world wide policy of the death penalty for all terrorist involved actions or persons should be implemented and carried out with swift precision. It's not that hard in today's age of interconnected people. It can be done, it will be done.

It is not a matter of revenge, it is simply a matter of stopping it at the very root of the tree. Take them out, shoot them in the town square. Show the world that actions such as yesterday or last week in England or last year in Africa or '93 in New York will be met with swift death. In the other thread that insisted that we should also target the children of these countries that permit this, we should. We should allow them to see up close and in person what happens to someone who commits such acts of violence in such manners. Let them realize their fate if they choose a similar course in their lives. This isn't about revenge. It's about the greater good for every nation. I'm not talking about the United States doing this, I'm talking about every nation around the world doing this. Terrorism as we saw yesterday is much larger than just the United States or Israel. It's happening everywhere around the world. As a child in Germany, where my father was stationed in the Army, I went through several bomb threats from terrorist factions. A world wide message must be sent that terrorism is no longer going to be tolerated in any form. That as a terrorist mind, you will find that part of your mind splattered on the road somewhere. This is far from revenge. This is for humanity. This is for the innocents that have yet to be killed or terrorized by these animals who devalue life for their own agendas.

Guys, we don't need to go WW3 to get these guys, all you need is to dry out their finances, apply continued pressure and they will slowly fade away. The CIA did a major f@#kup by letting Bin Ladin roam freely all these years.
