For all my bashing of Kill Bill, I'd never actually seen it until last night.

Ah, what can I say, it was worth watching.

Don't get your hopes up thinking that I'll keep my foot out of my mouth in the future, though 🙂 My favourite part was when lucy lui decapitated that dude, and also the two japanese dudes in the bar arguing 😛

I only saw it last night as well. The only thing I'd really heard was that it had "alot of heads getting chopped off" in it. At first I started saying things like "No way, she couldn't do that." Then I realized that this wasn't that kind of movie...for some reason I had initially expected realistic violence.

It moved along in an odd fashion, and I feel it slowed down a little to much in a few parts. I loved the music and how it integrated into the scenes.

My favorite was the school girl uniform body guard with the ball and chain thing. She did some crazy stuff with that.

Yeah, I found her mildly sexy too, in a BDSM sorta way...

Well, yeah, she was pretty sexy...and the school girl uniform does do it for me...but I was more pointing to the fact that the ball and chain fight was really awesome. Like how she'd whip the chain around her body to get it to spin faster. It was just impressive to watch.

Lucy Lui is much hotter than that girl though.

I could have done without the excessive spilling of blood, IMHO it was overly done.

Otherwise it kicked ass but it's no Pulp Fiction (not that they're related).

I too watched it for the first time yesterday. It was ok. Too wierd for me.

And this whole "super woman" thing didnt do it for me. You could just hear the women in the audience screaming "you go girl" :|😱😛

I just wish Quentin could come with his own ideas for once.

well...
thats his gimmick.
i mean, he is all about the "homage"
i just wouldnt go if you were looking for 100% original stuff.

of course, i think you would be hard pressed to find modern films that are not alluding to previous films and other works of art.

I just watched it, and honestly I was not impressed at all. In fact I kind of had an empty feeling with a little WTF to top it off. I had heard that this was a gory film, but it doesn't hold a candle to The Evil Dead. 🙂

it's not really a gory movie. it's more comical than gory. the blood quirts like in a comic book. Uma was badass though
