I like the sony g500/520 i think 540 might be the new model.. not sure.. it's pretty good.. i like it.. theres probably better but i only used the sony and viewsonic ones..

hard to tell cuz every monitor is a made little different within the same brand and no one has 800+ to blow on 21" monitors to compare with..

Well since I like my G420 so much I'll have to vote for the G5xx. After all, it's just as good only bigger. ;)

this thought just poped into my head. why wpend upwards of 800$ on a 21 inch moniter with that money you could but your self a amazing TV out card and like a 30 inch television. and quite possibly a good flat screne one. and you coud watch TV in it also. i play games on my 27 inch Tv with the TV out off of my Readon 64 meg DDR VIVO and it looks great UT SS:SE MOHAA all lok better then they do on my moniter a 17 in trinitron. so im askin why dont people just do this instead of blowin the money of a large moniter????

true to your name, getting such a big monitor ( = large amounts of radiation) will make you go blind.

But another tick for the sony :)

Love my Eizo F931.

Also, it's shadow mask, so I don't have to stand those incredibly annoying lines that AG monitors have.

Why not spend a little more and get a 22.1 inch LCD monitor.

Since you're hardcore I'll recommend this one for the decent quality it has.

You may have to bust open your piggy bank though.

Initially, most people will look at those lines with disgust, but over time, probably only five or six in a hundred cannot stand those lines. But I personally believe, given some training and time to get use to, anyone will be able to look at the AGs without being bothered by the lines.

Im one of those 5-6 people.

I've used lots of AG's, and those lines allways annoy me.

But thats typical of me, small things like that annoy me to death.

Those lines annoyed me for a while. Now, I hardly ever notice them. Especially when gaming.
I have a Sony E500. I think that's an older model. I think it looks just as good as the G5XX and costs less since it's an older model.

Well, to be honest with you, I wouldn't recommend ANY 21' monitor to a gamer. With screen so large, it becomes harder to see all of the action on the screen without having to physically turn your head (and tired yourself out). This might not be a huge deal in FPS games where 95% of the action is in the center of the screen, but in RTS games where you've got to contantly bounce from top to bottom and left to right, keeping a grasp on an entire 400 square inches of action will tire you out. Worse, your game will suffer because of missed action.

I love my Mitsubishi 2060u also. It has wonderful refresh rates with excellant text and deep dark rich colors which I happen to prefer.

Most TV sets only have a refresh rate of 60Hz and a resolution of 640X480 some are able to do 800X600 but those are rather expensive. Hence TVs are bad for PC games.
