I was also surprised... years ago.

If someone actually bought the card, I hope you keep a fire extinguisher near by and unplug it when you're not in the room.

I bought one. Apparently it's just an overpriced GT 440.

Trying to get my refund now.

Oh man, that reminds me of the days when people bought add-in FPU cards.

My 1st video card upgrade was:
- adding 1MB to the onboard video card (an S3 Trio something-or-another on a Compaq)
- adding a Voodoo 3DFX 4MB PCI slot video card

I remember turning on the 3D rendering for Quake 2 and being BLOWN away by the graphics.

These are not overpriced GT 440. They are GTX 760s but in order to get that performance you need to use solution.

SOLUTION NEEDED OR ZERO PERFORMANCE.

Is this the same solution that made me retire my 7950GX2? You know you've bought a dud GFX card when every update requires worship to your deity in order to work afterwards.

I didn't use any solution, but mine just came with a driver CD that looked like it was printed on someone's home inkjet.

There were just three types of listing on that website:
 • People selling "GTX 680" cards with DDR3 memory that are apparently just non-gaming cards from three generations ago
 • People with zero feedback selling name brand high-end graphics cards for half price
 • People selling GTX 760's for $900
Apparently scamming is good business in China.

I filed a dispute with Aliexpress claiming the goods were not as described. They asked me to upload video evidence to Mediafire (wtf?) proving the card was counterfeit. It's been a week and no response from them.

Currently running the counterfeit card in my rig because it's slightly better than my Intel HD 4000.

Status of case: Complaint pending—Further response required from buyer

from AliExpress: Dispute Status Update Notice-Further Evidence Required

Please do not reply to this email. This mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response.
Please log in to <http://channel.alibaba.com/complaint> to provide the evidence to AliExpress before the due date.

Dear <Rakehellion>,

Thank you for contacting Alibaba. This is Dido from AliExpress Case Management Team. Regarding your order, I am sorry that you didn’t get an amicable solution from seller. We will try our best to provide you any support.

Meanwhile, please kindly understand that our mediation is on the basis that you provided enough evidence for your claim. We noticed you mentioned the functions of product not as the discription, to support your claim, please test all the defective products you have received and provide us clear videos and show us all the problem in the videos to support all your claims within 3 calendar days. Make sure your videos are long and clear enough for us to identify the problem. If you bought over 1 piece of products, please illustrate all the defective pieces. (Please don‘t provide pictures instead of video if video is requested and make sure we can see the product clearly during the video).

You can click here to learn more about how to provide valid evidence: http://help.aliexpress.com/Gathering_evidence.html. If your evidence (such as video) is larger than 2MB, you can upload it to Mediafire (http://www.mediafire.com/) and provide the link to us.

If you have settled the dispute with seller, please response in the complaint centre so that we can be informed and follow this dispute according to the settlement.

Please kindly note that fail to response or provide required evidence before the deadline, your dispute will not be supported and the payment will be released to the seller accordingly.

Your understanding and cooperation will be appreciated.

Best regards,

Dido

Dear <Rakehellion>,

Thank you for contacting AliExpress. This is Dido from AliExpress Case Management Team. Regarding your order, I am sorry that you didn't get an amicable solution from seller. We will try our best to provide you any support.

We checked the information and supportive evidence you provided for this dispute, your claim about function of goods not as the discription is accepted. Generally, we follow the return policy (set on every order) to mediate the dispute. For this order, the return policy is “Returns accepted if product not as described, buyer pays return shipping; or keep the product & agree refund with seller.” (This policy was displayed in the product page.)

For this dispute, Aliexpress can provide you the following 2 options, you can only choose one:
1. Refund USD 35 without returning goods.
2. Return the goods for a full refund. (Please kindly note that if there is no agreement that seller pay the returning shipping fee, according to the above return policy, you need to bear it; Thus a partial refund as compensation would be a better choice if you would like to keep the product that still has certain value.)

Please let us know your choice or other opinion within 3 calendar days. If you fail to response or reach an agreement with seller before the deadline, we will close this dispute directly as the option 1 we gave; If you would not like to accept both solutions, your dispute will not be supported and the payment will be released to the seller accordingly.

Your understanding and cooperation will be appreciated, to be honest, international online trade dispute is difficult to mediate, many uncontrollable factors would influence the matter, such as the international logistics delay, the language barrier. To make you have a better purchasing experience on our site, we will keep improving us in the future.

Best regards,

Dido

So after all that, they're offering me a $35 refund, though on their buyer protection page it says if "computer, communication device or consumer electronics/digital product is counterfeit" I'll get a FULL refund.

Calling them out on it.
