It's from a website that sells (probably) counterfeit OEM cards. Thought it would be appropriate for April Fools'.

The site says it's in Hong Kong but a lot of the content is in Russian. That's how you know it's legit.

I had heard of people buying old microsoft intellimouse from that website and getting delivery, but it could have been troll. Not sure. Wouldn't be willing to find out.

Its so tempting to get a pre-paid visa card and try this out. What do graphics cards usually sell for in Taiwan?

So how exactly are they selling these so cheap? It's obviously something illegal, but who's getting robbed, you or Nvidia?

I'd imagine possibly from a QC fail bin, and bios-flash a GK107 to 106, maybe. Either way, no telling when a faux-GTX card card is going to die after a few months.

ugh aliexpress is owned by alibaba. used to be owned by yahoo. they're about to go public. valuation is 150 billion. their sites do more transactions than amazon and ebay combined i think.

you use alibaba to contact middlemen/sometimes manufacturers to buy items in bulk usually from china. everything is done p2p so you can get scammed. there are gold sellers but basically you pay for the gold star or whatever. that's another way alibaba makes money.

process usually works something like this. you look up sellers. you contact seller(s) and ask for a sample. they send sample(s). you inspect. if they're good you place an order. you pay a deposit. they make it. you pay remainder. they ship it. you pay duties. aliexpress is basically a buy it now version of the site and it's mostly non scammers. prices are higher and minimum order quantities are lower.

[edit] also that gtx sounds like a scam to me.

Looks like cost cutting. They also have a GTX770 GDDR3 and a GTX760 GDDR5 for around the same price.

It's down to $61 shipped. Someone take a gamble and report back. Can you dispute with your credit card on non US shipment or no?

Edit: This card has VGA out. Nevermind 2 DVI and and an HDMI out. This card still has VGA out on a cutting edge card? Is that standard?
