he even wrote a 224 page book on sharpening pencils.

For $15 I'd want him to carefully and painstakingly carve the pencil into a perfectly tapered rounded tip using only a razor blade

That is funny, I feel like sending a pencil his way and paying the fee just to say that I did. It's kinda funny actually I have a big box of pencils from when I was in school. I remember buying a ton of em to be good for a while... yeah, it brought me through most of high school and college. lmao. Now I rarely use pencils. Only time I really do is when I'm building something and want to mark wood or something.

Its brilliant.

hell yeah it is. he has 500 orders on hand. i need to come up with an equally dumb and brilliant idea.

lol from msnbc comment:

"Send me your dog's poop and for $75 I will dry it for you so that after the dog dies and you miss the poop on the floor, but don't want to hassle with the mess, you can place the bag with it's cerificate of authenticity on the floor and enjoyt the fond memories. And if you also send me your homework, I will chew it up while waiting for the poop to dry. Just send the items in seperate bags."

At first I thought this was ridiculous and stupid on so many levels but then I saw the OPs pic of him sharpening a pencil. He looks so concentrated and focused at the task that I'm pretty convinced I must have been doing it all wrong my whole life. From now on, I'll be sending him my pencils along with a check... better to let the pros deal with it.

I'm probably going to send all of my pencils at once while he's still relatively unknown. He's just one guy and can't do them all. I'm worried he may just outsorce the task to some 3rd world country once the influx of requests start pouring in.
