I have a duron 700 with chrome orb on asus a7pro. I am upgrading to t-bird 1200 when GW Bush sends me my tax relief check(should be next week).

My question is whether or not the fop32-1 will handle my cooling needs and please give me some suggestions on other heatsinks. I am staying away from delta fans because of noise.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

If you dont intend to OC much...the FOP 32-1 will be fine :)

If you do want to OC...i'd look into a better unit. Personally, I got a WBK38 and mounted an 80mm fan on it- cool and quiet.

If you're interested...you'll need to 1) bend the clips around, or 2) buy a fan guard, in order to mount that 80mm.

Or...if you have money to burn, consider a copper sink...though I'll leave that to others :)

doesn't the fop come with a delta fan? If you want quiet...a taisol copper based heatsink will do it. Cools and quiet. But you can also get the sk-6 heatsink and put a quieter delta (30cfm one) on it. My friend just got his. He's running 44 C right now @ 1.5.

the FOP 32-1 comes with a small 60mm fan...it's quiet.

The FOP38 has the delta.

But yea, a Taisol 760002 (the copper) is a good choice...i've heard it's easy to install
