I'll be watching the debate and keeping an eye out for good opportunities to speak my mind in P&N later. What about you guys?

Can I have what's behind door #3? If there's an episode of Cop Rock that I've seen less than 10 times that sounds like a winner.

How can you possibly watch a debate? What sort of brain damage does it take to think that you're going to hear actual honest answers? You're going to be force fed the same carefully scripted platform responses that you've heard before, each crafted and polled to attempt to appeal to 51% of the voters.

Probably watch Football, switch over the debate during a commercial break. Get disgusted and switch back to the game before the commercial break is over.

I'm at work at that time, but I'll probably listen to the debate via streaming and catch some of the game on the radio in my car during my break. Or I might listen to the game and watch the debate on YouTube later. Not as important to see it live.

I don't want to watch the debate, but I don't get ESPN either. :(

Obviously debate. It's not like you're missing much 3 games into the regular season, between the falcons and Aints, no less.

Probably some mix of playing PS4 and playing guitar. I need to fold some laundry, too (well, it's whites, so just pairing socks and folding t-shirts).

Tough call. How do you choose between:

(a) something that might determine the difference in your life, economy, rights, and/or world-wide nuclear war.

and

(b) something that has no importance other than fleeting entertainment.

I normally would normally say option (a) hands-down. But, the debate will be covering the news and social media non-stop for the next week. And the game, since it has no practical meaning at all will be gone the instant it ends. For that ephemeral reason alone, I say you should go with the game. The debate can and will be forced down your throat later.

I, on-the-other hand am still stumped by ABC's schedule. On my phone it says DWTS airs after the debate. Which doesn't seem realistic. Why play one of their top shows after half of their audience is in bed and the other half is in a fury from the debate? I think their online schedule must be backwards.

For me, these debates are an excellent exercise in frustration.
However, my frustration already gets a fantastic workout from dealing with daily life, so I'll pass.

They should have combined the two. Made Hilary and the Donald "guest" QBs for the Saints and Falcons. Whoever survives the potential sacks wins the debate. :D The Superdome becomes the Thunderdome for one night.

The only thing I like less than football is douchebags trying to bullshit me. NPR is asking for money. Classical station is asking for money. That leaves listening to music on my phone, and screwing around on the web.

NPR has like three funding drives a year. The rest of the time it is top quality programming. Eh, it's you who gets to miss out.

I don't mind the drives. I'd be happy to give them money once in a while because they do have some good shows (and podcasts) and coverage. What bothers me is they do it on top of "underwriting", aka advertising. Public television has been doing this, too. If you are going to be asking for money from your audience while getting money from various foundations and organizations, you shouldn't also be running ads from corporate sponsors.

I get tired of the funding drives. A bit a news, then a bunch begging. The classical station's even worse. They had a soft drive earlier this year, and they said it was successful. I'd like more of that. Just a quick request for donation between segments.

Debate for me. I have watched every presidential debate since 2000. It is only this year that I finally broke my streak on the primary debates. If I am going to complain about the choices, I should at least be able to cite why.

Also, I live in AL. We don't care about professional football down here.

Yeah I get that. But it doesn't bother me much as it is rather minimal. However at times it has rubbed me the wrong way, as minimal as it is. Overall because of the quality of the programming I give them the benefit of the doubt.

The fund drives do get annoying so I just don't listen as much during those times. I give them a low monthly sustaining membership of $8. I like my tote bags too :)

Football. If it was the Browns vs. the Bears, it couldn't possibly be as bad as watching those two attempt to debate the issues of the day.

I've known how I'll vote and I've known who the next POTUS will be since well before the first primary.

Watch Gotham at Fox (7-8pm CST), then the First Presidential Debate (8-9:30pm) at CNN.

Football.

If your a rational human being you already know who the correct person is to vote for regardless of where you are on the political spectrum.
