I started jogging a bit and was thinking of getting some dedicated running shoes. I look at Foot Locker's site, and they have about 100 different running shoes. There's like 20+ from Nike alone. Aside from visual differences, is there really much actual difference between the different running shoes? Any sites that have reviews or anything on them?
 
Nah, it's alot better. The best you can do with buy 1 get 1 half price is 25% off 2 pairs, and that's if they are the same price. If one pair is less expensive your % off on the total purchase goes down since the discount comes off the lowest priced pair.

Hey .... just new to this "Family and Friends" concept! 😱 Do you think that the footlocker store guys would accept this coupon .. even though I have no family/friends working for footlocker. A follow-up question is that, would a computer printer coupon work?

I've been doing tons of research this winter on what pair of running shoes I'm going to buy for this spring. I'm just taking up running and I know that having the right pair of shoes is critical. There are many different foot types (high/low arch, pronations, ect.) and you need the right shoe for your foot. If you are going to seriously run, NEVER buy a pair of shoes based on its looks. You will probably wind up with shin splints or messed up knees in about 1 month. I've found tons of helpful info at Runner's World. They have a great section called "Shoes 101" that you should read. They also have a "Shoe Finder" that will find the right type of shoe for you. You can then read reviews that people have written about the shoe you are interested in. Also, Road Runner Sports has a ton of user reviews for their shoes.

I've decided that the right shoe for me is New Balance's 1022. Footlocker has this shoe online, but not B&M. I'm going to try it on tonight at another store, then order from Footlocker using this sweet coupon! 😀

yes they've had these family and friends coupons every couple of months... sometimes i dont' even have the coupon, i just mention yeah the 30% off coupon and they're like yeah okay.

Usually they don't let you use the coupon on certain shoes... I don't buy basketball shoes but I recall that the Jordans, TMacs, and AIs weren't valid with the offer last time. Champs is pretty much the only store that still carries Nike Prestos so I bought mine last time around with the F&F coupon.

Does anyone know of a good sneaker review site? When I do a search on footlocker for shoes in my size it comes up with thousands of shoes. It would be nice if there was a website that had the highest rated shoes for different activities or something like that.
