The only guy who truly handles it, is the third guy from the start of the video dressed in the Muslim gear. He handled all that power. The guy at 2:27 is not shooting a .577, he is shooting a .700 Nitro Express http://www.accuratereloading.com/700ne.html . A little less power and torque than the .577.

I like how they are all practically leaning backwards expecting recoil..no wonder they get knocked on their ass.

Question: when those dudes are shooting and the gun gets thrown up, is the bullet going into the air or is it still going straight? In other words, what happens first: the bullet out the barrel straight ahead of them, or the recoil?

Technically they both happen simultaneously. The bullet is going downrange at an angle somewhere between the rifle's initial and final position.

But the ultimate weapon IMHO without question is the AA 12. The motherfracker is straight off the chain.

FPS Russian, everyone's favorite professional Russian, has a neat vid firing two of those bad boys at the same time. What is most amazing is the recoil, or almost total lack thereof.

You have two of those, and alternately load slugs and .00 Buck.... wow, you are delivering a world of hurt with virtually no recoil.

Are you sure about this? I don't think this is correct. Almost all of the energy is contained in the barrel until the bullet exits the barrel. Otherwise, recoil would make guns worthless if the barrel kicked up prior to the bullet exiting the barrel.

Maybe I misread your comment, but I don't think this is the case.

Would help if they were holding the rifle and shouldering it correctly.

Ah, the old "The person isn't doing it right" post from the ATOT experts :)

I've been here so long I can predict the responses without even opening the thread. ():)

Well, were they shouldering the rifle correctly to minimize the recoil effect?

The angle is negligibly slight. That's why I said "technically". Basically just Newton's 3rd law, but the ratio of the time it takes for the bullet to exit the barrel as opposed to the time it takes for recoil to significantly alter the angle of the barrel is ridiculously small.

Okay, I misunderstood then, my bad. I was thinking that you were suggesting the bullets path is significantly altered by the recoil, to the point where accuracy is out the window.
