Fonts suddenly changed...HELP!!!

Hi there,

I have a problem...here it is:

I went on this one website to do research for a class. I was getting ready to print an article from this website and the printer gave me an error, something about that it can't print the document. So i said, ok, the hell with it...

I open Microsoft Word to type something and the regular Times New Roman font is not available, and anything I type is in BOLD! I go to Control Panel->Fonts folder and removed the Times New Roman Bold, then reinstalled the Times New Roman regular...ok...Microsoft Word is now working.

I open my IE (6)...and all of a sudden all of the links are in ITALIC!! Any page that I go to is in italic font. I went into Internet Options and the setting are the way they are supposed to be.

I logged in as another user (cause i thought that maybe my profile is corrupted) and....SAME THING...everything is in italic.

Even my AIM has the word "Buddies" in italic font....

Please help me! I have done research online, but have not found a solution...........

Any suggestions???

I'm in the same boat. Last night my fonts in IE 6 on WinXP went nuts. They are huge now and no matter what I set the font to in IE it will not change. Not sure what the hell happened but I've searched MS Tech Net & Microsoft Premier and can't find any mention of the problem. Really sucks ass......
