Folks who carry a concealed weapon

I guess I'm such a pacifist that I would rather die than take another's life, self defense or not.

Frankly, this line of reasoning is what terrifies people like me who would rather have the right to self defense. I value my life infinitely more than some scumbag trying to end mine.

Most of them have never been in any situation that would even come close to needing to defend themselves, thus their brains are literally incapable of understanding that there is serious violence in the world.

I personally didn't own a gun until I got jumped in front of my parent's church. A month later I bought my first handgun, and I have three handguns now. I personally don't have a CCL because in Texas it is actually worse for me if I do since I never carry on my person.

I can respect that. If you are willing to die for your beliefs that is something.

I can't respect a pacifist who doesn't want a gun but also pushes for policy where no one else can get a gun because they falsely believe this is the only way they can not own a gun and be safe.

No adult should EVER get into a fist fight, period. Someone swings their fist at me and I treat it for what it is - a direct threat on my life.

The real world is not high school, boys and girls. People don't just smack you a couple times and walk away.

People get killed, or even worse - teeth broken across curbs, skulls kicked in, genitals mutilated, and that's if the crew doesn't throw you or your family member in their car and take you off to do worse things.

There are news stories of even cops being killed from fists. I'm trying to think of the name of the officer who was in a very similar situation as George Zimmerman. He got jumped by a guy, punched, head smashed into concrete, went unconscious, and he died.

People should heed your warning well.

The saddest thing, to me, is that the very worst stories go largely unreported.

Victims of serious assaults and rapes rarely "go public" with what happened to them. They don't want friends and family to know that they were tied up and forced to watch a crew of thugs rape their wives (or worse). They don't want their names forever publicly tied as being a victim to some violent crime.

I wish there was a way to anonymously publicize these very serious attacks, as many gun grabbers think it's something that only happens in the inner city....

The media prefers gun deaths cuz they can use politics as a scapegoat.
