Folding@Homequestion

Anyway, I set it up but I have one "beef"

FAH3console.exe doesn't stay in the systray - instead it acts like something in the task bar and I don't want it there - i Prefer this in the systray (So i can still see it) or its completely invisible (though the systray would be the best)

how can I fix that?

If you are referring to an installation of the Command Line Interface version of the Folding@Home client on the system listed in your .sig, then because you have a Windows NT based OS, you can set up Folding@Home as a system service. This keeps it out of the taskbar and system tray (use a program like KDFold to keep an eye on its performance). Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to writing a customized NT service FAQ for our team, so this one will have to suffice. After reading through that, you should have a good understanding about how to do exactly what you are wanting.

FYI, this thread has some more helpful links to various programs, guides, and articles concerning Folding@Home; you may find it useful. Oh, and welcome to the TeAm (our abbreviated way of saying Team AnandTech)... 😀

...wait, you did set up your client for team 198, right? 😉
