Has there been progress on the questions of bonuses for Work Units?

I'm not being sarcastic or mean..... I really am looking forward to resolution so I can bend a protien or two.

We miss you too Sid :(
lol, it seems we have been ~2 months from overtaking for half a year!

Stanford pulled the QMDs to check the science results

There was an ~18 page in three days thread over at folding forum (it stayed mostly civil) on WU bonuses.

Pande posted that he was watching the thread and would take into account everything said.

The consensus seemed to be that the bonus was too high on some projects.

We'll see if anything comes of it.

They said there will probably be another series of QMD core WUs in a couple of weeks. And a whole bunch of other bonus WU projects around the same time.

There are some good DGro WUs being tested now :p

Also, a couple of weeks ago someone came up with an easy hack of the client to enable AMD to get QMDs. The hack just changes the place where it says "Intel" to "AMD" and "AMD" to "Intel" :) Nobody official said anything, but the helpers of the forum went ballistic, lol

LOL... I can hear those 'helpers' now..... LOL

Thanks for the info GleeM. It sounds like progress is being made and I am really pleased to know that.

(every time I see my name greyed out at EOC a little part of me is ..... :( )

My present exploits with BOINC Rosetta are a blast and I won't be quitting that, but I've finally got enough Hz that I can happily throw some at F@H again when they have this ironed out.

Hey Sid, I'm almost the same as you, I've scaled back my involvement in F@H a lot to devote most of my energy toward TAS but I still keep one core on the project out of nostalgia (it was my first DC project) and loyalty to the TeAm, with such great TeAmmates there like Gravity, Mark_F_Williams, and all the rest.

Anyway, it looks like with that one core on F@H I'm set to finally pass you in a couple weeks ;)

LOL

So what you're saying is that with one core, I could keep you where you belong.... :D
(kidding)

Hopefully, everyone on the TeAm AnandTech F@H team understands my divergent path has nothing to do with any of our teammates.

I've got some hot AMD 'pooters that would make a serious dent in F@H if Dr. Pande & Co. would just lift the AMD tax on their bonuses. It sounds like they may be heading in that direction so hope is there.

Crunch ON!
