Just wondering if anyone had a rough idea of PPD on a Playstation 3. I've been running it overnight for a little while and was just curious what kind of PPD I'm getting for a 200w (20GB launch console) console running overnight.

I heard it was about 1,000. Mine has crunched about 600 wu's since the spring. There is an advance setting for advance work units but I haven't seen a ppd increase overall due to the ps3.

My PS3 crunches anything between 600 and 1025 PPD - depending on WUs sent and playing of course.
You should thus expect some 300 - 600 points for half a day of crunching. :)

Edit: spelling.

Golgatha, My PS3 40gig is now just over 1,000 WU processed since I got it from BB's when they first went on sale last August. It basically has been 24/7 - No PS3 games and only 2 Blue-Ray movies played. Generally my ppd for this little gem is around 1,000.

Currently working on one of those 1,250 point WU and those seem to take about 30hrs.

These must not use the system as hard. I noticed when crunching these the fan doesn't make any noise!

One of the types of PS3 uses much less electricity. Anyone know which one it is?
