Hey!!! What's going on?!? I've been stuck at #43 for several weeks now :( How are all these people passing me? LOL I really thought I'd break into the top 40 a couple weeks ago, but all these big crunchers showed up and spoiled my dream :p Good to see the interest, since I only joined F@H a few months ago. Still crunching SETI with one rig, too. WTG TeAm!!!! :D

Edit: Doh, call me SingleMind today... Welcome Seneschal and all the new members

Well, our production will be down even more this weekend. I haven't been able to get a work unit since 9:21 PM EST Friday evening; the assignment server appears to be down. I have sent two e-mails to Folding@home Help. Typically, when I do this, the e-mails bounce back several days later as undeliverable. Is anyone at Stanford watching those servers?

They typically do watch them, but only if somebody goes to the folding-community forums and complains about it.

Have you tried restarting said clients a few times? Sometimes that does the trick for me when I have a client that's stalled and isn't downloading any work units.

jliechty,

Oh, yeah -- tried it all, including stopping and restarting my client over ten times. Even tried disabling my firewall temporarily, but didn't think that was the problem and it wasn't. However, I'm happy to report that I just restarted my client and have successfully retrieved a work unit, so the problem has been addressed.

Thanks for the info on the folding-community forums. I'll know where to go the next time.

Ken
