Thanks GLeeM for the stats and congrats to all the MM'ers. I remember being impressed when we had more than 20 making more than a 1,000 PPD, 41 is amazing.

I have a WU that does not seem to be able to send itself to the receiving server. Here is an excerpt from my FAHlog;

[05:47:18] - Couldn't send HTTP request to server
[05:47:18] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[05:47:18] (171.65.103.106:8080)
[05:47:18] - Error: Could not transmit unit 05 (completed May 2) to work server.

How do I find out if the server is down? Also any advice on how to send the results would be appreciated

Check server status here

You can also place http://171.65.103.106:8080/ into your web browser. If it says OK then the server is working properly.

If a server is down, there is nothing for you to do. The F@H client can hold up to 10 completed WU in the queue and will try to send results every 6 hours automatically. Just let the client continue to crunch on the new WU and eventually the results will be sent.

I have checked the F@H web site and the servers are up.
I can ping the servers shown above and get a response.
I have rebooted a couple of times to no avail.
I ?use IE settings? to connect to Internet and IE is working.
Firewall is configured to allow this folder to be shared.

This computer has been working faithfully for a long time with only an occasional hiccup.

Soooooo...............I'm stumped. :disgust: :|

Any ideas? Lord knows I need to the credit>

I ran into a similar problem about a month ago. I just ignored it and they randomly posted for me one day (after 30+ attempts).

As Iron Chef already noted the client will keep trying every six hours until the results get sent.

If you have a newer computer the client has plenty of time to get the results sent before the deadline.

I think a server can sometimes get too busy to accept more connections and so your client gets put off for a while.

If you wanted to get it sent sooner you could try a "Send All" shortcut.

Make a shortcut to the console client and name it "Send All". Then right click the new shortcut and select "Properties". At the end of what is in the "Target" textbox add a space, a dash, and "send all" without the quotes. (add the local flag too)

Mine looks like this: C:\fah5\FAH504b.exe -local -send all

The client must be stopped before trying to send. If the server is too busy it should open a spot in a few minutes, but it depends on if someone else is also trying to send and gets the spot before you.

After shutting down the SMP client did you wait for all the cores to end? They can take a while sometimes.

I have had lots of trouble with shutdowns too. I hope they get that fixed soon.
