Thanks, GLeeM, for the stats!

MadAmos, yeah, i also noticed the decrease in output for our team. I believe part of the reason is due to Project 2125 my 2 pc's are currently crunching. my 3.06ghz northwood was taking about 1 hour / segment. Around segment #85 it is now taking over 2 hours per segment to complete. This will add another day's worth of crunching to complete.

I noticed this slowdown of Project 2125 on my other box (2.4ghz northwood) yesterday. I have been overclocking this box's FSB from 133 to 140 which gave me a 2.54ghz speed (a modest increase) for a couple of weeks now and has not given me any problems. A Couple of days ago I increased the Front Side Bus to 145. This gave me a cpu speed of over 2.6ghz, running stable, or so I thought...

I left the pc alone for a couple of days (it too was working on project 2125) until I connected my only monitor for these 2 pc's (a 15" NEC LCD screen - 5 years old) and noticed that the Gigabyte utility to control the overclocking functions was reporting FSB of 133 and the cpu speed of 2.399ghz. Also, the F@H was not showing on the bottom task bar! I started her up and it began working on Project 2125 from Segment 0!!! Seems as if the pc crashed & rebooted. I know that the F@H program did not do a post on any job completed or incompleted because I had the DSL box turned off for that lenght of time.

The 2.4ghz box is now taking over 3 1/2 hours to complete a segment and is only up to segment #9!:(

A sad state of affairs at the TurtleBlue Farm...

Thanks GLeeM for all the hard work on the stats:cool:

Congrats to xfalconx2, mustache143 and Cuhulainn on making your Milestones:thumbsup:

I was doing some overclocking attempts with the memory and so far OK and I will be doing more tweaking on the weekend.

Congrats to the MMs!

It's the 211x project slowing everyone's produciton. Apparently there has been LOTS of people dumping them to get those juicy 149X puppies.

Anyway, there's (the usual) flapping around at the F@H forums whining about the no-bonus WUs, how to lynch the dumpers, etc....

I think they have the rotation set up to put out 211x en-mass for a while to get them processed.

Smile and warm the room!

All of my family members in Springfield, MO are without power. There has been a terrible ice storm in the mid-western region. However, in Lees Summit we tend to bury all cables to prevent power outages such as seen in Springfield, so my dual core gaming rig and laptop are still crunching away.

Here's to 150k points milestone by tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks as always for the stats GLeeM.

When F@H client restarts it checks to see how it was last shutdown. If the computer was not shutdown properly the client assumes that it was the problem and runs without optimizations (so it won't happen again).

The temporary solution is to properly shutdown the client and restart it, then you should see "Assembly optimizations on if available." and/or "Extra SSE boost OK." in the FAHlog.txt file and you will be running at full speed.

If the computer is known F@H stable you should add the -forceasm flag to the startup shortcut. This flag tells the client to not check how it was last shutdown and so will always run with optimizations.
