son got a ps3 for xmas, was going to give folding a run on it.
however, after doing a system update (to version 2.5 or something like that) it's not showing on the network menu.
i'll check again later, as i haven't looked at it in a couple of days, but if it's still absent, any ideas as how to get it there?

There's something called "Live with PlayStation" or something like that now for that console. I suspect when you find what that is (I don't have a PS3) you will find your path to folding. (careful.... PS3s get HOT)

It's kind of a pain with the new system.

Go to network and choose "playstation live"

This will take you to the "live" channel which seems to be quite useless to me anyway.

Hold down the "square" button and toggle down to the folding@home channel.

Once your in it'll start folding but you want to change the user name and team number (198).

press the "triangle" button and hit "select" button ( "X" button) when the "current channel" is highlighted.

Hit the "X" button when "identity" is highlighted.

Once you plug in your F@H username and team number, then you should be all set.

To get out of F@H press and hold the "P" transparent button on the center of the game console, then choose "quit". It took me a while to figure that one out!😉

Enjoy playing the games with your son!!!
