Folder Sharing with XP

I'm obviously just not looking hard enough or something, but I still haven't discovered a way to share a folder while putting a password to access it. I'm very dissappointed Mega-Security XP couldn't even give me that one tiny feature. I've been through the control panal about a dozen times, with no luck. I suppose it's possible I'm just missing it, but very unlikely.
So, if anyone could explain this to me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

r u setting up multiple accounts and your putting a password on each one and then you want to get a file from someone else's log on?

no hes talking about on a LAN, where u have shared folders.. ive been trying to figure this out too, if u look at your windows explorer, go to tool view options or something, and there should be something about "use simple share" just disable that and u can do a lot more stuff and control access, i still dont know how it works, its based on users tho
